Language proficiency
Pilots required to use radiotelephony in the performance of their duties shall not exercise the privileges of their licences and associated ratings unless a language proficiency endorsement is entered on the licence.
The language proficiency endorsement shall specify the language in which the licence holder has been assessed, the level of proficiency attained, and the date of validity.
For operations conducted outside Norwegian airspace, compliance with a minimum English language proficiency level 4 is required.
Licence holders shall ensure that their flight crew licence contains a valid language proficiency endorsement and that the endorsement has not expired.
